Parent Support
-
Early childhood education is a hugely important time for children to develop crucial life skills, including communication, socialization, emotional regulation, and academic readiness. When a child struggles to engage fully in a classroom setting due to their own disruptive behaviors they may miss valuable opportunities to build these foundational skills.
Challenging behaviors often occur because a necessary skill is missing. As a result, a replacement behavior needs to be taught to both the child and any other people in the current setting (parents, teachers, peers, siblings, etc,). By explicitly teaching a replacement behavior, the child learns to meet their needs more effectively (and safely!), reducing distress for themself and others.
-
Parent coaching is a highly individualized 1:1 service that helps you uncover unhelpful behavior patterns in your family and child. Together we unpack the “why” and learn evidence-based strategies to replace them with healthier, more effective behaviors.

Education on child development, behavior management strategies, and building a stronger connection with your child.

Center Trainings
Give your staff the training needed to lead classrooms and create environments where students thrive.
Strong classrooms are built by confident, well-supported educators. These trainings are designed to equip staff with practical, evidence-based strategies they can use immediately to create predictable, supportive learning environments where students can succeed.
Trainings are tailored to the needs of your team and may include topics such as:
Attachment and relationship-based practices in the classroom
Behavior Management 101, including proactive supports and prevention strategies
Understanding the function of behavior and responding effectively
Classroom-wide systems that promote engagement and regulation
Targeted interventions such as Check-In/Check-Out (CICO)
Well-established teaching practices like behavioral narration and active supervision
Sessions emphasize real-world application, clear examples, and opportunities for discussion—so staff leave with strategies they feel confident implementing, not just information to remember.
Trainings can be delivered as one-time workshops or as part of an ongoing professional development plan, with optional follow-up coaching to support implementation and sustainability over time.
“I use every strategy you gave us. I wish we had you at our last center - I wouldn’t have left!”
“You made me really want to understand my kids and connect on a deeper level to help them.”
“We haven’t had any bites in our classroom since you were here. It runs so much smoother”
Early Childhood Classroom Coaching
Individualized coaching for classrooms struggling with behavior management on a group level.
Classroom behavior challenges are rarely about “bad behavior” or ineffective teachers. More often, they’re a signal that something in the environment, schedule, expectations, or support system needs adjusting. This consultation is designed to help you see the patterns, understand the why, and make practical changes that support both students and staff.
Classroom consultation may be helpful if you’re experiencing:
Classroom-Wide Challenges
Frequent disruptions, transitions that fall apart, or difficulty maintaining routines
High levels of noise, movement, or dysregulation across the day
Inconsistent expectations or strategies across staff members
Reinforcement systems that aren’t motivating or aren’t being used consistently
Individual Student Concerns
Repeated tantrums, aggression, elopement, or refusal behaviors
Students who struggle with transitions, group activities, or unstructured time
Children who appear disengaged, avoidant, or overly reliant on adult support
Behaviors that escalate despite “doing all the right things”
Environmental & Systems-Level Questions
Unclear or overwhelming schedules
Classroom setups that unintentionally increase problem behavior
Mismatch between student needs and instructional demands
Limited time or support for teachers to implement strategies with fidelity
Teacher Support & Sustainability
Feeling unsure what to try next—or overwhelmed by too many strategies
Wanting feedback that is constructive, practical, and nonjudgmental
Needing support to implement behavior strategies consistently across the day
Looking to build long-term systems that work with children, not against them
Parent Coaching
It’s time to break the disruptive cycle and create long-lasting behavioral changes with your child.
“She had an assessment and saw what was leading to these behaviors and she hit the nail on the head. Sarah sat with [the child] and helped her to think backward to retrain the child's mind to be able to think instead of just acting on her emotions right away. It was a really, really cool thing to watch and learn from.”

Hi, I’m Sarah Welsh, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
A little bit about me: I’ve worked in early childhood education for over a decade! As the oldest of 12 siblings, it was an easy segue into adulthood and my career. I received a bachelor's degree in child and youth studies and a master’s degree in Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis from The Ohio State University.
Now a parent of a little one, I know from first-hand experience how difficult it is to change one's parenting approach. You can’t just jump to the top of the staircase. You need to take each step one at a time to make lasting changes. ABA methodology has improved my own and my clients' lives.
Raising a healthy, capable child is one of the hardest things a person can do, but it’s every parent’s dream. If you’re looking to implement positive, thoughtful parenting techniques but continue to run into challenges, let’s talk.
I help families break free from habits and routines that hold them back. I’ll meet you right where you are to create a personalized, evidence-based plan that leads to lasting change. No quick fixes, just real progress.
